In an industry traditionally occupied by men, Viya Huang is one of many females taking on the career path as a Specialist access technician.

During her Traineeship, Viya worked alongside some of our most professional & skilled site supervisors, giving her the confidence and training that only comes with years of experience.
Having someone mentoring you the first time you abseil the 228m MLC building in Sydney is obviously an invaluable part of anyone’s training.
The academy is the perfect place for new recruits to start as it gives them the freedom to learn, whilst being partnered with highly skilled and knowledgeable technicians, without the pressures of having to keep up with teams that have been in the industry for years, said Laurance Carr, Operations Manager of the Window cleaning team.
Having completed the traineeship in under 2 months, Viya has been promoted to technician, where she will now hone her craft and skill set as she looks to further her career in the world of Specialist Access.
